Ashtin Rural District (Persian: دهستان اشتین) is in Bala Velayat District of Bakharz County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Hemmatabad.[3]

After the National Census of 2006, Bakharz District was separated from Taybad County in the establishment of Bakharz County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Bakharz as its capital.[3]

At the census of 2011, its population was 7,388 in 1,905 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county to establish Bakharz County.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 7,677 in 2,103 households. The most populous of its 15 villages was Hemmatabad, with 1,673 people.[2]
