Al-Nabk District

An-Nabk District (Arabic: منطقة النبك‎) is a district (mantiqah) of the Rif Dimashq Governorate in Syria. At the 2004 officical census, the district had a population of 80,001.[1] The centre of the district is the city of An-Nabk.

The area of the district is also known as Qalamoun, Qalamun, Qalamūn, Kalamon and Kalamoun.[2]

Divisions

The district of Al-Nabk is divided into three sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):

  • An-Nabk nahiyah (ناحية النبك): population 50,747.[3]
  • Deir Atiyah nahiyah (ناحية دير عطية): population 29,254.[4]
  • Qarah nahiyah (ناحية قارة): population 14,248.
