2000–01 Providence Friars men's basketball team


The 2000–01 Providence Friars men's basketball team represented Providence College during the 2000–01 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by head coach Tim Welsh, the Friars finished the season 21–10 (11–5 Big East) and received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as the 10 seed in the South region. The team was beaten by No. 7 seed Penn State, 69–59, in the opening round.[2]
