Question from Bluetik (17:28, 2 May 2024) edit

Hello! Thanks for being my mentor. My first page was approved! I’d love to create more, but I also want to ensure that the quality is “up to snuff.”

Do you have any broad suggestions, or, if you have time to look at the page I created, do you have any suggestions there? --Bluetik (talk) 17:28, 2 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from Bluetik (03:51, 3 May 2024) edit

Also, im having some trouble getting my IP unblock request done with Yamla - perhaps I’m out of line, but both this Admin’s original response and their follow up seem to not be particularly thoughtful, and the block is encumbering.

Should I just drop it so I don’t get banned?

For context, right now, I can’t edit from my home office, and can only use my phone and not my primary device. Basically my company bought me an ip address for work and I want to be able to edit from my primary device --Bluetik (talk) 03:51, 3 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

RFA2024 update: phase I concluded, phase II begins edit

Hi there! Phase I of the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review has concluded, with several impactful changes gaining community consensus and proceeding to various stages of implementation. Some proposals will be implemented in full outright; others will be discussed at phase II before being implemented; and still others will proceed on a trial basis before being brought to phase II. The following proposals have gained consensus:

See the project page for a full list of proposals and their outcomes. A huge thank-you to everyone who has participated so far :) looking forward to seeing lots of hard work become a reality in phase II. theleekycauldron (talk), via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 08:09, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Question from Bluetik (13:49, 15 May 2024) edit

Hello, let me know if this isn’t the right place to ask such a question (there may be a forum for this), but I’ve noticed a phenomenon with a few Wikipedia pages that are created after (and sometimes only or primarily using) a “hit piece” (maybe more helpfully/specifically, one-sided and negative articles). I assume there are policies or norms around this somewhere --Bluetik (talk) 13:49, 15 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Women in Green GA Editathon June 2024 - Going Back in Time edit

Hello Ritchie333:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in June 2024!

Running from June 1 to 30, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Going Back in Time! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 20 centuries by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!
