IP edit-warring edit

Concerning the IP (104.157.207.107)? I believe you have a case for edit warring. They'll not stop until they're blocked. GoodDay (talk) 17:50, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I see it has been dealt with. Flibirigit (talk) 21:02, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Happy New Year! edit

  Happy New Year!
Hello Flibirigit:

Did you know ... that back in 1885, Wikipedia editors wrote Good Articles with axes, hammers and chisels?

Thank you for your contributions to this encyclopedia using 21st century technology. I hope you don't get any unnecessary blisters.

Herding cats edit

"Categories into alphanumeric order, living people should come immediately after birth year" [1] Can you point me to where it says this? I have been putting them in ascii-betical order. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 19:13, 24 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

My edit summary is simply an explanation of what I did, rather than policy. The relevant guideline is Wikipedia:FAQ/Categorization, which states "alphabet and importance are used to order categories". In my experience, the important categories are "eponymous categories" followed by "birth year", then "death year/living people"; then followed by everythng else in alphanumeric order. For example, see categories at Oprah Winfrey. Flibirigit (talk) 00:22, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

What you’re writing isn’t factual and it’s upsetting to members of my family. Please correct the info I put in. You are reporting mis-information. Im curious as to where are you getting the info? It’s factually incorrect. Shene1966 (talk) 18:54, 19 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

List of IIHF World Championship medalists edit

Hello there,

I'm writing here because it seems we're in a disagreement regarding the statement about Russia's non-participation in the IIHF WCs, and also I don't want to start edit wars so I decided to reach out to You here. With all respect as a fellow user, I really don't see how the statement that Russia is currently banned from IIHF events for political reasons (or any reasons at all) is related to the medal content. The table is about how many medals each country has won, the note clarifies that Russia is a successor state to the USSR. I really don't see how is the fact that Russia is currently banned from participation relevant to this information.
