'Article class' annotated link edit
Trying to create version of the Template:Annotated link. (Help:Template).
- Field 1: Article name
- Field 2 (optional): Editor Name (shows both the article rating after the editor's first edit and the current article ranking.)
- Field 3 (optional): Single article (default) or complete editing history
- The second would list all the articles an editor has worked on along with the rating change since their first edit (similar idea to list of articles below)
{{#invoke:Assessed_link|main |1={{{1|}}} |2={{{2|}}} |3= |4=[[{{{1|}}}|{{#property:P473|{{{1|}}}}}]] }}
Editing edit
Focused on adding updates and filling-in gaps to articles.
Tend to start at the bottom of the articles and work up from there:
- WP:External Links
- Working to define the source of each link clearly and with a wikilink to that source's page
- Moving into References or See Also
- Removing unreliable or unhelpful links
- WP:Further Reading
- Using as a source in the article
- Putting in reverse chronological order
- Ensuring the listed works match the scope for the article well (not too narrow, broad or something that is a 'see also')
- Removing those already listed as a source in the article
- Attempting to trim these sections to 0-5 sources (Template:Too much further reading says most editors prefer to cap sections at a half dozen)
- Assessing notability using citation counts (e.g. 2 cites per year published), book reviews, and other methods (open to suggestions)
- WP:See also
- Removing when wikilink already used
- Using in the article
- Moving to the relevant section
- Alphabetizing
- WP:References
- Flagging unreliable references - still a bit confused about the role of primary sources - holding off on these edits until I get more confirmation
- WP:No original research
