I have the Eric Morse book. It's really good. But so are the sources you've been using. The Morse book, by it's focus, might be useful to reinforce which routes were primarily canoe vs. other forms of transportation. Name?

I worried about the title too but couldn't think of a better one. Canadian canoe routes sounds like modern sport canoeing. Putting Canadian in front puts the main idea first and makes it easier to find. I just thought of Historical Canadian canoe routes but that sounds odd too. Historical canoe routes in Canada is better grammar. There really isn't a good title. The thing is almost a history of Canada, of Canadian exploration and of the Canadian fur trade but I wanted to show how these were shaped by the problem of getting from place to place as in the corresponding Siberia article. How did rename happen?

There was no discussion, particularly with the main editor, Benjamin Trovato. And to a name with discussed issues. This should probably get reversed. North8000 (talk) 00:46, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

I didn't do anything because the change was not clearly wrong. Neutrality came out of nowhere, gave no reason and probably did not look at the talk page. I usually let people change my stuff unless they are obviously wrong.Benjamin Trovato (talk) 01:38, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

Siberia restored

Someone edited out the original reference to Siberia, apparently because it did not directly apply to Canada. The underlying theme of this article is how, in this case, geography influenced history. Comparison to Siberia is needed to show how similar geography did and did not produce similar results and also set up the problems faced by travelers in this type of country.
