WikiProject Holiness Movement

Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to the Holiness Movement. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there. For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject and Wikipedia:WikiProject/Best practices. The Holiness Movement WikiProject exists to coordinate and plan articles about anything related to the Holiness Movement. Examples would be colleges, historical figures, theologians, and other articles.

Tasks

To do

  1. Make sure that the more essential topics relating to the Holiness movement are covered adequately here. A beginning list of articles on the topic can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/Holiness Movement work group/Missing articles.
  2. Write an article for each college or university associated with the holiness movement.
  3. Write an article about the branches and what they do? (Sunday School and Discipleship International Ministries (SSDIM), Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM), Mission Corps/NIVS, Nazarene Disater Response (NDR), Nazarene Youth International (NYI), Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC), M7, ext.)
  4. Write an article about the hierarchical concepts of holiness movement: the District concept. Or, better yet, write an article with an appropriate title discussing the various breakdowns in the Church entire, while also compiling a list similar to the Nazarene school list for each region, district, etc. denoting their associations ("The Maine District Church of the Nazarene is part of the Eastern USA Region of the Church of the Nazarene associated with Eastern Nazarene College...") There is already a Georgia District article. We should have more, and we can take the small synopsis from the COTN article and add a note to see these more detailed pages.
  5. Write an article for every General Superintendent ever (see /General Superintendent MiniProject). (Including the newly elected GSs, there should be 39 total GS and articles.)

Specific tasks

  1. Add all articles relevant to the project to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Holiness Movement/Articles page by category.
  2. Use the recent changes function to check on improvement, vandalism, and other changes to these articles.
  3. Create Nazarene Youth Conference, Nazarene Youth International, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Mission Corp (formerly NIVS), Youth In Mission, Suday School Ministries, Lillenas, Beacon Hill Press, Barefoot Ministries, Holiness Today.
  4. Write an article about a hierarchical concept of the holiness movement: the District concept.
  5. Pictures for the Universities and Colleges, Nazarene Conventions, former International Headquarters (HQ) buildings, and the new Global Missions Center (GMC). Please be good quality pictures.
