Blackout edit

Hey, TipsyElephant! I hope you don't mind, but I've added a lot of stuff to Blackout (podcast) and I've noticed you've contributed a lot, so I assumed you made the article at first. I wonder if it's good enough or it needs more? (I'm pretty sure it needs more.) Thanks in advance!

Hello ElegantlyClandestine, I'm glad you took an interest in the article. Don't worry, you don't need anyone's permission to edit an article because no one owns it. I did start the article a while back so that some one like you can expand it. However, at a glance it looks like you may have introduced a copyright violation by adding copy-pasted episode descriptions to the episode table. In the future please make sure to write everything in your own words. To improve and expand the article, I would recommend reading and summarizing the sources in your own words. You could expand the plot a bit while keeping in mind that the plot should not be too long. I would also recommend adding a reception that summarizes what reviewers thought about the show. If you run out of ideas for improving the article you could start a peer review, but make sure to read the instructions before you do so. If you've had the article peer reviewed, you could try a good article nomination where you will receive further review, however, I believe that is a ways off. Ooh, alright. Whoops. I’m gonna re-listen to the podcast once I’m done finishing season 2. Thanks! Nicole. Oh, she's elegantly clandestine... 00:38, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good! Glad you enjoy the podcast. If you're interested in audio dramas you may want to check out some of the shows in category:Scripted podcasts. I hope the copyright issue doesn't discourage you from editing the article further. If you have any questions or need any help let me know. TipsyElephant (talk) 02:34, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not really, I’m just concerned about what they’ll do to my account. Wow, and I thought the episode descriptions were free-to-use… whoops. Nicole. Oh, she's elegantly clandestine... 03:34, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@ElegantlyClandestine: I believe that at most someone might add this Template:Nothanks-web to your talk page. It sounds like it was an honest mistake so I wouldn't worry about it. TipsyElephant (talk) 10:07, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Let's hope other people think that way. I think I'll be off the internet for a while anyway, taking a vacation off-town. Nicole. Oh, she's elegantly clandestine... 12:44, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Draft The Earful Tower Podcast edit

Working on the new Draft:The_Earful_Tower_Podcast per your instructions. Any pointers before I submit it for review?

I realized that one of my key sources is behind a paywall (NYT). Is there an accepted best practice in these cases? - Submit source URL as-is - Use wayback machine - Do not use paywalled sources?

Thanks! Atolkachev (talk) 20:54, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
