Hi Nicrlove, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contribution to Fat feminism. Thanks for adding citations for your material. Note that repeated citations to the same source can be achieved more efficiently by the use of named references; please read up on that, add a "name" for your first citation of a given source, and then use the brief form for subsequent references. For example, the first citation of Williams (2017) might look like this: <ref name="Williams-2017-6">Williams, A.A. Fat People of Color: Emergent Intersectional Discourse Online. Soc. Sci. 2017, 6.</ref>, and all subsequent references to that issue, might look like this: <ref name="Williams-2017-6" />. Also, please be sure to add page numbers to your references.

You might want to investigate the {{cite journal}} and {{citation}} templates, as well. These give you a standard template of information to fill out, which makes it easier not to forget something, and then formats your footnote in the correct way. Here's a blank one you can copy-paste and fill in if you want: <ref name="Last-YYYY-n">{{cite journal |journal= |last1= |first1= |last2= |first2= |title= |url= |jstor= |publisher= |date= |volume= |issue= |pages= |issn= |doi= |access-date= }}</ref>.

Here's a filled in example, using your first reference: <ref name="Williams-2017-6">{{cite journal |journal=Soc. Sci. |last1=Williams |first1=Apryl A. |last2= |first2= |title=Fat People of Color: Emergent Intersectional Discourse Online |url=http://www.mdpi.com/2076-0760/6/1/15 |jstor= |publisher=[[MDPI]] |date=14 February 2017 |volume=6 |issue=1 |pages=1-16 |issn=2076-0760 |doi=10.3390/socsci6010015 |access-date=22 March 2017}}</ref>

Note that there may be some question of the reliablility of articles published by MDPI; apparently it was listed in on Jeffrey Beall's list of predatory open access publishing companies in 2014. If you have any question about the reliability of this, or any other source, you can leave a message at the Talk page of the Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. An archive search at RS/N shows three prior discussions about MDPI, so you may want to check those out.

Thank you for the input Mathglot! Reading up on the archived discussions about MDPI, as I was unaware of this issue, would you think it be wise to remove the addition that I made to the article using the source? It seems like there is still a discussion on whether or not the source should be banned and more caution given to using it. I also want to thank you for the citation help! That was something that I was unsure how to format, so I'll be sure to go in and fix that while my addition to Fat Feminism is still up. If it needs to be taken down as per Wikipedia's contribution standards, I completely understand. Nicrlove (talk) 21:42, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Please read up on using Talk pages at Help:Talk pages, especially the part on Replying to an existing thread which explains about indentation (your post above is missing an indent level) and other things.

Please also read up at {{ping}} or WP:NOTIF on how to alert users (like me) that you've written something on your Talk page (or some other page) that you want a user to be aware of. I only ended up here by accident, or I could've missed your comments above for a month, or forever. If you reply to me again, use {{ping}} (or {{re}}).

Re: MDPI, I don't want to make a call one way or the other on MDPI, and I don't think you need to remove the addition, but you might tag it {{Better source}} and in the |reason= param, add something about what we've said here. You could also go to the RS/N ans ask them about it, and request feedback.

Re your contributions to Fat Feminism, it's fine to leave the contribution up, but please try and format that correctly before your class ends, and/or find other sources. @Shalor (Wiki Ed): HTH, Mathglot (talk) 10:50, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
