Update in progress

edit

Unfortunately, User:Jennavecia's blind acceptance of User:TownDown's suggested edits has broken all the pages that had used the 1881, 1899, and 1916 variant labels (now removed). I have re-added them so that all affected articles can be updated first. Jennavecia's edit also removed the interwiki for this template, which I have also re-added. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 05:39, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

What are you doing?, please unblock this template and let me fix it.--TownDownHow's going? 05:46, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Update is complete. About 170 pages required an update to use the new flag variant labels, and I have verified these have been done. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 18:32, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Good work!, 170 pages requeried an update?, at least they weren't 15,000 pages as you said, right?. Finally this template is not disgraceful anymore, and also thank you because you deleted the template MX-JAL. --TownDownHow's going? 20:27, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. But I didn't say that 15,000 pages needed updating, but that 15,000 pages would have needed examination for a potential update, had the deprecated flags not remained in place during the update period. This task (renaming/replacing flag variants) is MUCH easier as a two-step process. I have done this several times in the past couple of years... — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 20:36, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Flagicon doesn't show?

edit

Hi, I hope this is the right place to make this comment, but I noticed on various pages that the flagicon for Mexico doesn't seem to function. -->  Is this expected (that is, is there any work in progress?) or is this really a problem? 217.150.231.161 (talk) 10:23, 3 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Ah, seems to be fixed now. Sorry to bother. 217.150.235.221 (talk) 20:14, 3 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

/doc is not working

edit

There is a transclusion problem, apparently.
Interwikis added to /doc do not appear on the main page, in spite of purging.

Mexico 1934-1968

edit

The correct flag is Flag of Mexico (1934-1968).svg, with emblem brown without blue--Unikalinho (talk) 11:11, 7 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Remove:
flag alias-1968 = Flag of Mexico (WFB 2000).png
flag alias-2004 = Flag of Mexico (WFB 2004).gif
flag alias-2013 = Flag of Mexico (WFB 2013).gif
and
var9 = 1968
var10 = 2004
var11 = 2013
Remove these flags as they are just based on the shades used in pictures in different editions of the CIA World Factbook (you can see if you open the flag image) and not are official or even real changes to the flag used by Mexico, they should not be included and especially not linked to a specific year. This will not break anything as the pages using these aliases will revert to Mexico default flag, which these are (incorrect) variations of.

Further, the historical flags should be corrected and especially better files used than the low quality png even! Good version exist on the Flag of Mexico page. I have made a new "code" for the updated Mexico template which removes WFB variants as well as corrects and improves the historical flags

  Done (excluding the redundant 1968 variant). One of the removed variants, 1881, was still in use at List of heads of state or government who have been in exile; I changed it to 1893 there. SiBr4 (talk) 12:50, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
