Fair use rationale for Image:XHHIT-FM.png edit

Image:XHHIT-FM.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Requested move 16 July 2019 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

Moved. Single opposition rationale is strong; however, no stats are seen to rebut the general agreement seen below to disambiguate these titles. Where appropriate, WP:NOPRIMARY will be observed. Kudos to editors for your input, and Happy Publishing! (nac by page mover) Paine Ellsworthed. put'r there  18:46, 29 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

– In 1994, the Mexican Secretariat of Communications and Transportation awarded additional FM frequencies to 83 AM radio stations but did not take into account that their methodology for assigning call letters would create more than 20 conflicts with existing stations; see User:Raymie/Mexican double callsigns. (There have been a few new cases since, including XHHIT-FM, which became double-called in 2018.) Thus, there is an XHHIT-FM in Baja California and an XHHIT-FM (Puebla), an XHOX-FM in Tamaulipas and an XHOX-FM (Sonora), an XHTY-FM in Baja California and an XHTY-FM (Colima), and an XHVG-FM in Baja California and an XHVG-FM (Yucatán). In each case, the two stations sharing call letters are independent of each other; in all but two, they are in different states.

Now that we have articles on almost all Mexican radio stations, and given that WP:PRIMARYTOPIC is almost impossible to apply to two radio stations that have the same call letters, I am proposing the move of these non-disambiguated pages to new disambiguated titles as has been done for almost all of the other double-call stations, such as XHZS-FM (Sinaloa) and XHZS-FM (Veracruz). These pages never had disambiguated titles because their creation predated that of other Mexican radio articles, and in the case of XHHIT-FM, being double-called in the first place.

I talked about this last month at Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation#Mexican combo radio stations, parenthetical disambiguators and am making this an RM for maximum publicity to involved areas. The naming conventions for this type of article are at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (broadcasting)#North America. Raymie (tc) 02:26, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose. I see no reason why it should be a "given that WP:PRIMARYTOPIC is almost impossible to apply to two radio stations that have the same call letters". If either one is more likely to be sought than the other, then it's the primary topic. I see no evidence presented here that the articles proposed to be moved here do not meet primary topic criteria for their respective names. Lacking a good reason to move, I oppose per WP:TITLECHANGES. --В²C 20:56, 25 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Support moves per nom. With rare exceptions, WP:PRIMARYTOPIC is impossible to apply to two radio stations that are assigned the same call letters, and of the stations in question, none could be safely said to be the primary topic.--Tdl1060 (talk) 07:56, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
