I consulted some original sources and added and corrected some errors in the history and ethnic background of this Celtic tribe. See: Athen. 6, p.234; Nat. quaest. 3,11; Plin. 31, 4; Aelian. h.a. 17, 41; cf. Kadlubek I ep. 2 ed. 1711 --> Boguchwal Chron. Polon. ap. Sommersberg, script. rer. Siles. tom. II. p. 19. etc. etc.
Also in reference to Stari Vlah see Karadzic's Serbian dictionary as reference. Please note that Vlah does not have the same meaning anymore in modern Serbian!

This article wrongly states that Lucius Cornelius Scipio Asiaticus defeated the scordisci in 88 BC. He, (together with his more famous brother, Scipio Africanus) defeated Antiocus III at the Battle of Magnesia in 190 BC. (Frank prieto101 23:44, 3 March 2007 (UTC))Reply
