Talk:Radio music ripping

This page refers to the MP3 format as if though it was the only audio codec that exists. While it is a de facto standard, Internet radio could be composed of streamed FLAC files that are transcoded to Ogg Vorbis, for example.

" Such software checks the radio station’s website which songs are being broadcasted at a given time and saves them as files under the song’s name"

This is incorrect. Most of the time, the actual broadcast stream contains the song meta data. The website has nothing to do with ti.

Merge?

edit

Since no discussion has taken place RE merging with Ripping, I'm going to remove the flag.

What do you guys think about a MOVE to Ripping/Radio or Ripping (Radio)? -- TomXP411[Talk] 01:01, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Seems to be just an(other) advertisment for a commercial web radio recording software in disguise, and should therefore be removed.--88.151.72.92 (talk) 15:23, 24 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
