Whathojeeves, Evertype, Mongvras edit

I have removed non-evidenced POV. Whathojeeves 20:52, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Here as at Michael Everson and Ken George you show your POV is against people who dislike Kernowek Kemyn orthography for Cornish. Please do not use the Wikipedia for that battle. Gromercy dhys. -- Evertype· 09:27, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
No Michael, you're the one who persistently uses Wikipedia as a soapbox for your adopted causes. If you really believe PP has the interests of the Cornish Language Revival at heart, perhaps you could list some of the things he's done to promote it. Mongvras 01:42, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Category:Cornish nationalism edit

I removed category "Category:Cornish nationalism" added by unregistered editor, added by unregistered editor. As so-called Cornish Nationalists have recently threatened celebrity chefs and fliers of the flag of St. George with violence and demonstrated their ability to light a fire, I suspect the subject of this article would prefer not to be so labelled. Nationalism and National Identity are two of many topics considered by this subject in his academic work. Vernon White - T A L K . . . to me. 14:28, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

So what happens now? edit

Sprogreeet has been blocked, is it permissible to revert? DuncanHill (talk) 00:53, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

He/she has been reverted. When his/her block is up, try and state why that information is invalid, in order to prevent another edit war. No sense in people being blocked under very avoidable circumstances. Inferno, Lord of Penguins 01:05, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, and thanks for your help :) DuncanHill (talk) 01:06, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Childhood edit

I have made this change, [1], saying that he spent much of his childhood in Sussex, and using the publisher's announcement as a reference. Publishers' announcements are not ideal as references, but for such a trivial piece of information I believe it to be satisfactory for the time being. Place of birth edit

I have just looked through 27 pages of google results, and cannot so far find any mention of a place of birth for Prof. Payton. If anyone has a reliable, citable source for his place of birth, it would be helpful! DuncanHill (talk) 02:27, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Categorization edit

Subject is currently in Category:Cornish people. The category page states "People who are closely associated with Cornwall or identified themselves with Cornwall, but who were not actually born or raised there", and on this basis I believe it is appropriate. The category for people actually born in Cornwall is Category:People from Cornwall. It should, I think, be remembered that categories exist primarily to help navigation, and do not define a subject.
