Proposed Name Change

Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland is an article with the same purpose as this article, namely describing Orangeism in Scotland. Therefore, for the sake of uniformity, I propose that this article be changed to Grand Orange Lodge of British America or that the Scottish one be changed to Orange Order in Scotland. Thoughts? Incomplete Thought in 'Upper Canada & the Province of Canada'

While the following sentence starts with acceptable grammar and structure, albeit lacking in citations/proof, it deteriorates with the second predicate starting with the word "Jews":

"Most early members were from Ireland, but later many Scots, English and other Protestant Europeans joined the Order, Jews in addition to Amerindians, such as those in the Mohawk Orange Lodge which survives into the present day."

The sentence could be split as follows, but the second sentence remains incomplete:

"Most early members were from Ireland, but later many Scots, English and other Protestant Europeans joined the Order. Jews, in addition to Amerindians, such as those in the Mohawk Orange Lodge, which survives into the present day."

Perhaps, "Eventually, Jews were allowed membership, as were Amerindians, such as those in the Mohawk Orange Lodge, which survives into the present day," would make more sense, not to mention that it clarifies that Jews were not part of the Amerindian lodge.

Tommy Douglas

I could not find any evidence to support that Tommy Douglas was a member. It had been flagged in 2016 as unverified. blindlynx (talk) 17:31, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
