Untitled edit

The article states that the original Millwall "firm" were called "F-troop". I know there is a distiction between Hooligans and Firms in some people's mind but Millwall's largest group of hooligans were, until the 1980's known as "(The) Treatment ". As for "F-squad" it seems to be have been a name made up out of thin air before the filming of a 1977 Panorama documentary on the club - this is a post directly from the "Millwall Mad" section of Millwall's online forum's:

"F Troop was a name made up in the Crown and Anchor half an hour before filming started..." - I know that this is all technically original research but it does seem relevant.

I can't believe that this information on one of the most infamous football clubs with a hooligan element has been lost to the mists of time in just 30 odd years.I apologise for any inaccuracies and the general "scrappyness" of this comment but it's been a long time...

Minor edit: I have removed the following phrases "...bottoming and...", "...Polari-speaking..." and "...and the firm most friendly with Dorothy..." which, while pretty funny because unexpected, were (I assume) inserted by an (admittedly reasonably educated) individual to imply that the Millwall hooligan firm were/are homosexuals. I felt these added little to the article and counted as original research (which, as original research, says all the more about whoever added them). Were not some of Millwall black? edit

Is "predominantly white" correct? How many of them were black? 2A00:23C8:9C28:9A01:545:243A:A7C:36EB (talk) 20:07, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
