Talk:Fran Godfrey

Clean edit

This also needs some cleanup, I think.

Feasibility of Article edit

Wikipedia is a serious, factual encyclopedia. I am sincerely doubtful that Ms Godfrey is not 90 next year; please can posts be kept sensible, please. I will remove it, unless anyone has proof of her age, and is prepared to back it up with hard evidence.--Jonfun 16:56, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

As all good TOGs know, on her age, Fran will only say she is 'the wrong side of 40'. This means that anyone adding a year of birth to this article is probably doing so without knowing whether it is factual or not - and I doubt Fran would add one herself. 81.156.156.29 (talk) 20:04, 28 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Someone has added her year of birth as 1953. To my knowledge Fran has never revealed her age, but in case it is correct I've left it in and requested a reference. TheRetroGuy (talk) 13:21, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

My recent edits edit

I've had a go at tidying this up a bit, and adding the Sir Terry quotes as references. I think this article will need some more work doing to it though. TheRetroGuy (talk) 11:23, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fran poetry edit

Someone just changed this today [1], but I seem to remember it being "I'm in love with Fran Godfrey" rather than "I've fallen in love with Fran Godfrey". Listeners could have used both I suppose. TheRetroGuy (talk) 21:31, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Companions edit

Moved to talk, any relevance? RJFJR (talk) 15:28, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Godfrey's newsreader companions on Wake Up to Wogan were:

Not as a section on her WUTW colleagues, but I suppose it could be included in a See also section. TheRetroGuy (talk) 19:53, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Date of birth edit

While I'm here, why is her BBC biography given as a reference for her date of birth? It says nothing about this. I know it occurrs at the end of June as it's often been mentioned on air by presenters if she's presenting bulletins on her birthday, but a year has never been given.
