Administrators

Four users were granted admin status via the Requests for Adminship process this week: Camaron1 (nom), Djsasso (nom), AKeen (nom), and Aqwis (nom).

Bots

Three bots or bot tasks were approved to begin operating this week: UnCatBot (task request), Maelgwnbot (task request), and BJBot (task request).

3 articles were delisted last week:

  • Palace of Westminster (nom) — Nominated by User:hbdragon88 on November 23, 2007. The article was promoted April 17, 2005, before in-line citations was a criteria for becoming a Featured Article. It also contained Weasel words and Manual of Style issues. No improvement was made and it was demoted January 4.
  • Carl Friedrich Gauss (nom) — Nominated by User:King of Hearts on November 20, 2007. The article was promoted on July 10, 2005. King of Hearts stated that it did not meet three criteria for being a Featured Article; Comprehensiveness, In-Line Citations, and an inadequate lead. User:Borisblue, who originally nominated it for Featured status, due to being busy, was unable to fix the article to meet standards. The Article was demoted on January 4.
  • History of the Peerage (nom) — Nominated by User:Judgesurreal777 on November 22, 2007. The Article was promoted on July 15, 2004. Concerns were that there were a shortage of In-Line Citations, the Lead was short, lack of images, and prose issues. Little improvement happened, and the article was demoted on January 7.
