Aren't you a little "young" to be volunteering at the Dispute resolution noticeboard?

edit

Hi, BigWillyStyle4162. Unusual username — I'm not crazy about it, I must say. Your account is barely a week old, and is already volunteering at WP:DRN, and closing discussions there. Have you had a previous account? Bishonen | talk 21:06, 22 July 2019 (UTC).Reply

@Bishonen:Hello! This is my first account, I've just made IP edits previously. I'm assuming you are referring to this discussion? It seemed like a pretty clear discussion to close, which is why I felt comfortable doing it instead of leaving it to the more experienced WP: DRN volunteers. If you don't agree with my decision, I'd be happy to hear your input. BigWillyStyle4162 (talk) 21:44, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
No, I'm fine with it, it's more that I think you're inexperienced, if you really haven't had an account before. No comment on my dislike of your username? I think it's fairly offensive. Bishonen | talk 09:05, 23 July 2019 (UTC).Reply
@Bishonen:True, but I felt that was a constructive way of getting more experience and contributing to the community. I did not intend for my username to be offensive (it's a reference to a Will Smith song and my name), though I can see where you're coming from. I certainly don't mean to offend, so I will put in a request to have it changed. BigWillyStyle4162 (talk) 18:40, 23 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

DRN Volunteer Roll Call - Action Required

edit

There has been no roll call since November 2017 so with that said, it is time to clean up the volunteer list. Please go to the Roll Call list and follow the instructions. If no response is received by May 30, 2020, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to participate and you will be removed as a DRN volunteer. Thank you for your attention to this and for helping Wikipedians in their dispute processes.
