According to the article on the "Severn bore" (a upstream wave in England's River Severn caused by rising tides), the Severn Estuary may or may not have the world's second-largest tidal range after Canada's Bay of Fundy. The dispute revolves around whether Ungava Bay has a higher range than both, leaving the Severn Estuary in third place - but Ungava Bay may itself in fact be in third place.
