Could someone mention his recent appearance on Smackdown, please. :-) 82.4.71.30 19:43, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

It appears that he is no longer retired. Sephiroth storm 01:56, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot (talk) 18:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Noting a lack of mention under valets where Amy Dumas(Lita) was one of his "ho"s. It's been mentioned a lot elsewhere, although I'm not 100% certain on the veracity of the claim. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.156.14.74 (talk) 11:09, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

"One of his Ho's"

edit

I really don't think its necessary to preview a picture of a naked lady on Wikipedia, it doesn't give more info than needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.96.228.91 (talk) 18:07, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Anyone else think it should be ho's, or hos', and not hos?Halbared (talk) 09:25, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Baron Samedi

edit

His name was Baron Samedi not Baron Smedly. --24.94.251.190 (talk) 20:13, 2 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

The source currently in the article says 'Smedly'. Can you provide a source for your spelling? NiciVampireHeart 19:12, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
The source isn't a good one. He definitely played Baron Samedi in the Global Wrestling Federation, which this article completely ignores him ever being apart of. The character was almost exactly the same as when he showed up in the WWF as Papa Shango. Cite, fire up your time machine and watch GWF on ESPN in the early 90's. I know, not a good cite, but the one used for "smedly" is an error prone site that shouldn't be used for cites here.19:25, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

So why isn't this article at "Godfather (wrestler)"?

edit

I want to know. -- 92.8.28.23 (talk) 22:10, 24 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, it's Charles Wright (wrestler), but not The Godfather (wrestler). I don't see how that makes any sense. Someone move it to Godfather. TheGary (talk) 01:50, 17 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Place of birth

edit

Are you sure it's accurate that he was born in Las Vegas, Nevada? At a 1999 house show in San Jose, California, Wright stated he was from that city (do not remember if he said born or raised tho) and even brought his mother out from the crowd. (Saint0wen (talk) 21:45, 30 January 2011 (UTC))Reply

Charles Wright (wrestler)The Godfather (wrestler) – I agree with the above six year old comment that this article should be located at The Godfather (wrestler). He used other ring names for very short periods of time, but has been known as The Godfather for over two decades now whether it be as an active competitor, occasional appearances or historical coverage looking back on his career. • Support The Godfather is far and away his best known gimmick due to his championship success, HOF induction, and its coinciding with the 90s boom. Papa Shango is a distant second.LM2000 (talk) 23:37, 23 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
