Talk:Roscoe Wind Farm

Untitled edit

The line "Unlike fossil-fueled power plants, wind farms require no water and generate no carbon dioxide -- a heat-trapping greenhouse gas that is a major contributory component for global warming.[1]" sounds a lot like a sales pitch and all though true it's a general statement about wind energy and has little value in the current context. Beter to replace with the amount carbon emissions prevented and/or barrels of oil not burned. Pcmadman (talk) 22:04, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Capacity factor? edit

If there are actual generation numbers available (i.e., MWh/year, or Capacity:Generation ratio), we should find them; installed capacity is one thing, but says nothing about the actual output of the wind farm.

Size Comparison edit

The comparison of the wind farm to "Several times the size of Manhattan" isn't informative. It should be replaced with either an acutal number or a better comparison altogether. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colorado2993 (talkcontribs) 20:41, 24 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
