Cimetidine

edit

Cimetidine effects rimantadine uptake? They probably meant to say that cimetidine affects rimantadine metabolism as cimet. is a P450 CYP3A4 (I think) inhibitor.

cocaine cravings

edit

A couple of pharmacists have told me that Rimantadine has properties that reduce an addict’s craving for cocaine (assuming he is currently addicted to it of course). Does anyone have any links to support this concept? So far I have found: http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/157/12/2052. Is this usable? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.125.237.242 (talk) 13:01, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Correction... This article is about how amantadine does this, not rimantidine. I apologize. Feel free to use it for the article on Amantadine though. 208.125.237.242 (talk) 21:50, 3 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Racemate?

edit

2D structure does not show the configuration, is this a racemate? 3D structure is one specific configuration (one enantiomer). Either the 2D or the 3D structure is wrong. Best regards, -- (talk) 11:08, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

The IUPAC formula in the infobox begins with "(uyg)", so it's a racemate. -- Scray (talk) 11:51, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
From our Manual of Style (last bullet under "General": "For articles on racemates, only one enantiomer should be depicted ordinarily." So, I think the structures follow guidelines. -- Scray ([[User talk:phfhnb]) 11:56, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
The 3D structure shows one explicite enantiomer of a racemate. Best regards, -- (talk) 20:14, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected links on Rimantadine which have been added to the blacklist, either globally or locally. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed or are highly inappropriate for Wikipedia. The addition will be logged at one of these locations: local or global If you believe the specific link should be exempt from the blacklist, you may request that it is white-listed. Alternatively, you may request that the link is removed from or altered on the blacklist locally or globally. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. Please do not remove the tag until the issue is resolved. You may set the invisible parameter to "true" whilst requests to white-list are being processed. Should you require any help with this process, please ask at the help desk.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Rimantadine. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
