Game Plan edit

I think this article is rather shallow, and a big part of that is the fact that it is really just a tinkered-with and slightly expanded version of the 1911 Britannica article. I'd like to see it thoroughly rewritten, dropping entirely both the structure and the interpretive bias of the Britannica article. I think before this can happen, several other things should be done:

Another thing, it would be good to have a GFDLed portrait of Ranade and a Marathi transliteration of his name.

I think that would be a good start. EsdnePyaJ 15:32, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Date Error edit

According to the article Ranade died in 1901, but it mentions that he was on a gov't commission in 1907. -- Buirechain (talk) 16:58, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • [put (?) mark on 1907, as article gives death in 1901.]

Article states: 'Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade (16 January 1842–16 January 1901)' & 'In 1907(?), Ranade served on a committee charged with the task of enumerating imperial and provincial expenditure and making recommendations for financial retrenchment.' I have put (?) mark on 1907, for someone to correct dates as article gives death in 1901. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SSBATC (talkcontribs) 22:20, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
