Ive just seen the film which states that he carried out 608 hangings?
Yeah and what about all his german executions? the figure of 608 isn't far off!

The German executions are included here, and the figures are taken from the most thorough biography of the Pierrepoints which has been published so far. We would need to know what the sources used by the film were. -- Arwel (talk) 06:36, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
The figures in Appendix 2 of Steve Fielding's book, Pierrepoint: A Family of Executions, lists all the 435 executions that Albert Pierrepoint carried out between 1932 to 1955, either as Assistant or Chief Executioner. HLE (talk) 01:21, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
