Talk:List of executioners

Brazil

edit

I have suppressed the three names of so-called Brazilian executioners. Their inclusion must have been a bad taste joke. They had foreign names and last names, they were born in the second half of the 20th century - and Brazil has suppressed the death penalty one century before they were born! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rjanine (talkcontribs) 23:05, 5 February 2009

references

edit

the individual names should each have a link to the reference work which lists them. and why does anyone think that every person who is an executioner should have their own article? this article is very problematic.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 05:56, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree, if anyone wants to make an article about any of them, they can add the link later. 173.183.79.81 (talk) 22:10, 13 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Germany

edit

Between 1933 and 1945 add Kleine and Ulitzke. The one abbreviated with "M." had been added to this list with full name a while ago but someone erased him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.157.46.121 (talk) 17:51, 28 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, someone has made auxiliary executioner Heinz M. disappear.
Kleine himself got executed in 1946. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:45:490E:29B:5042:F7C5:EE51:183D (talk) 19:11, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
No. Johannes KLEINE died in jail on 22 December 1946 before the trial against him had ended. His colleague Andreas ROSE was beheaded on 19 June 1947 in the Coswig (Anhalt) jail.

"? Kuisle" is the first of the executioner dynasty Kuisl http://genealogie-kiening.de/U1/U1550.HTM — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:46:1A08:520F:F88C:20A1:DB45:AD31 (talk) 16:46, 15 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

With RÖTTGER go his auxiliary henchmen brothers Arnold THOMAS, Richard THOMAS and a person by the family name of HEHNEN. Dubious

edit

I'm dubious about some names in the UK section, including Thomas Mather Phillips, Harry Frank Robinson, Samuel Barrass Plant, John Edward Underhill, as 20th century executioners. I have not been able to find any reliable sources to support these names. Cusop Dingle (talk) 17:32, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm also dubious about Canada's Camille Blanchard. Again I can find no mention in sources. Cusop Dingle (talk) 18:30, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ditto Jugaret "La Gueule" of New Caledonia. Cusop Dingle (talk) 19:48, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
