Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?

Cities & Towns

edit

Iowa has no towns, all incorporated areas are legally Cities. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.195.17 (talk) 01:15, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

And for that matter, only incorporated areas are cities: see Title IX, §362.2 of the Iowa Code. Nyttend (talk) 05:46, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Kossuth Lajos

edit

I quote from the article:

It was named after Lajos Kossuth, Regent-President of Hungary who went to exile to America following the war

It's false, because Kossuth never been in America; neither before nor after the revolution.

He was in Turkey, then he settled down in Italy. SuperR (talk) 00:51, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

After making a tour of the USA and Western Europe. Nyttend (talk) 15:03, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Note on the Pronunciation of Kossuth

edit

The county's name is commonly pronounced "ka-sooth" by residents, rhymes with "booth". This information is based on personal visits to the county, and is not in the main article because of WP:OR. Billwhittaker (talk) 15:50, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
