I live on the edge of Kisatchie National Forest, Calcasieu District, Vernon Unit. I actually have to drive through a large stretch of this area to travel to DeRidder. I also have to travel through Kisatchie to get to Leesville, Louisiana as well as a portion of Fort Polk.

I was born on Fort Polk I have family and friends that either have Kisatchie as their back yards or are even surrounded by Kisatchie.

I intend to add as much as I can and stay within the guidelines of Wikipedia. There is a very large population of Woodpeckers in the(Kisatchie/Fort Polk) and I want to contribute information about this.

If anyone sees any improvements or corrections please let me know.

This is a great article. The top section however is a bit top heavy. It could definitely do with a more concise introduction, and then much of the information mentioned being moved down under the contents. Noxiyu (talk) 16:28, 15 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
