Websites that are variations on GHD

edit

Unless there is verifiable evidence that websites added to this article are part of the GHD group, links to unrelated sites (such as GHDHairs.com) will be treated as spamming and reverted as vandalism. (talk) 08:39, 13 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

WP:NCORP & possible COI

edit

I added the Notability Tag to this page as it doesn't currently meet the requirements of WP:NCORP. The current article about GHD does not provide evidence of significant coverage in multiple, independent, reliable, secondary sources. WP:ORGCRITE

  • The article mostly cites primary sources from the GHD Group website, annual reviews, communications, vanity publication, rather than credible secondary sources. WP:ORGIND WP:SECONDARY
  • The few secondary sources that are cited only provide trivial coverage, not significant coverage. WP:CORPDEPTH

Further, I am concerned that this article may have a conflict of interest WP:COI While most of the language is neutral, there are some phrases such as the use of "successful" which hint at bias, there is a high level of banal detail about this company that is not likely of interest to the anyone but those connected to the company, coupled with an unusual number of anonymous edits, and at least one of the recent editors has been flagged for potential COI before (I am not sure of the outcome from the investigation; whether they were or were not guilty of COI).

Editors of this article have the opportunity to either disclose any COI (if there is a COI) or work to improve the article to ensure it meets the Notability criteria, or it may be deleted. Powertothepeople (talk) 14:16, 13 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've removed the notability tag and a few superlatives. There seem to be several references that are substantial independent coverage of the company - particularly around 2014 when the Australian GHD merged with Canadian Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (that article appears to be out of date). Significant coverage in business pages of a privately-held company is relatively unusual as they tend to focus on public companies. --Scott Davis Talk 06:22, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
