Was She Even Real?

edit

Is there any historical evidence that she was a real person? Many of the stories or Saints from late antiquity and the Dark Ages are only legends and the sparse information and limited number of (known mythmaker) sources here raises questions. An article on such an obscure figure from this period should make a point of noting any question or controversy about the historical existence of the figure and reviewing the evidence. Flatly asserting that she "was" a saint when she may never have existed (or may, if I understand the article, have been some other historical figure) is just criminal. Her story turns up in Eusebius, Church History book viii, but he doesn't name her and perhaps more importantly, he doesn't have Maximinus kill her. 96.231.17.32 (talk) 08:20, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Date of death / Maximinus

How on earth could Maximinus have had her executed seven years after his own death? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.44.134.1 (talk) 12:24, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I had the same question. 96.231.17.32 (talk) 08:18, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
