He is 5'4"

He is 5'4" or 1.62 meters. It says on the page that he is 5'11" or 1.8 meters — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.36.224.123 (talk) 16:42, 3 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cannot be, 1.80 m should be correct - I would trust ATP stats on this, plus I have seen Goffin live here, and he has a good serve that is impossible to make at the height you quote. Plus, Diego Schwartzman has the credit for being the shortest player in the ATP, being 1.70 m, thus Goffin cannot be shorter. :) Naki (talk) 21:52, 23 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

edit

I propose that David Goffin career statistics be merged into David Goffin. Although we have separate statistics articles for a number of players, I feel that neither this player career statistics nor his main article are quite extensive enough to warrant a split. We can easily present all the information on one page. Per WP:SIZE, we have more than enough space remaining.Tvx1 17:49, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • I would tend to agree. It's always better to keep things in one place until the article gets large. Although I would bet that there are a great number of players whose article have been split at about the same size. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:24, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • Support - Since Wikipedia isn't just a collection of data, per WP:IINFO. Also, since it seems that there is more than enough space here, it should be merged, as there is no need for a separate article. RileyBugz会話投稿記録 22:34, 1 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose – as mentioned above, there are many similar sized player articles with their own dedicated stats article. If Goffin's articles were to be merged then accordingly, other players' articles would have to be to. Even with WP:SIZE there is a blurred line between an article that is long enough to have a separate stats page, and one that isn't. Furthermore, it will only cause conflict between editors with clashing views, leading to a deletion/recreation kind of scenario. F1lover22 talk 01:57, 18 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose - Goffin is a top 10 player who has reached several significant finals, beat over 10 top 10 players and these numbers will most likely continue to grow. Takk (talk) 12:01, 3 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
