Acceptance into Course

edit

I removed the statement below from the page. This may be true at someone's high school, but it varies widely (and there is no requirement by the college board that any course is taken at all in order to take the exam.)

"Normally for acceptance in an AP Chemistry course in any high school, one needs to have first taken regular, or, if offered, an "honors"-type chemistry course. The grade range for acceptance usually falls around a B+ or better in any chemistry class."

The acceptance into the course varies from school to school. Some accelerated teachers may teach both Chemistry and AP Chemistry in the same year, while other schools require their students to take Chemistry before taking AP Chemistry. The Advanced Placement Program only makes recommendations on what is 'best' for schools to do, but school districts make the decision. --GoOdCoNtEnT 20:43, 9 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I added the part about the 2007 test, and i believe that these changes will most likely remain for subsequent tests. I'm sorry that i dont have a citation, but luckily for me i am currently enrolled in the class :-) 76.173.161.67 06:25, 26 January 2007 (UTC)DavidoafReply
