HELP! edit

Hi, all @Conlinp, Greenman, and Discott: I please need ALL of your help to complete the article and update the provincial legislature articles. You can make a diagram of the seating composition here, and if you don't know where the colours are, they are here. Lefcentreright (talk) 16:18, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Gauteng Legislature updated. May want to check. Conlinp (talk) 18:03, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Conlinp: Thank you. It looks great. I appreciate the help a lot. Lefcentreright (talk) 18:59, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am also going to ping @Htonl: to ask if he could create an election map or two like he has done on other election article pages(?).--Discott (talk) 19:03, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
I am currently recovering from the effort of fighting the election. :) But yes, I do plan to produce maps as I did for the previous ones. Unfortunately given my position I can't really help otherwise with the writing of the article. - htonl (talk) 19:30, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Lefcentreright: Can you check KwaZulu-Natal Legislature. Can't find my error, Election, table summary? Conlinp (talk) 19:57, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Conlinp: Fixed it! Lefcentreright (talk) 20:18, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks htonl, really appreciate that. It will add a great deal to the article.--Discott (talk) 20:37, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Lefcentreright: Mpumalanga Legislature updated. Please check my work. Conlinp (talk) 12:02, 13 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Lefcentreright: Limpopo Legislature updated. Please check my work. Conlinp (talk) 12:29, 13 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Lefcentreright: North West Legislature updated. Please check my work. Conlinp (talk) 12:45, 13 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi, all @Conlinp, Greenman, and Discott:. Hope you are all doing well. I need your help with creating an "Aftermath" section on the 2019 South African general election article. The National Assembly and NCOP articles also need to be updated. I've covered (most of) the provincial legislatures and premiers. It would be nice if all of the premier articles could have an image. Only three have: Alan Winde, David Makhura and Sihle Zikalala. Hope you all can help. Have a lovely evening. Lefcentreright (talk) 16:40, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Incidents edit

I have removed the Wellington queue incident as it was very quickly debunked by the IEC and recieved no sustained publicity. We need to cover the "real" issues better such as the ink controversy, theft of IEC tents, demonstrations preventing voting, etc. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 13:05, 13 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

I am going to make an effort at these along with the allegation of Russian influence that I see a lot in the media these days.--Discott (talk) 11:36, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Ward winner map edit

Map showing the largest party in each ward.
  African National Congress majority
  African National Congress plurality
  Democratic Alliance majority
  Democratic Alliance plurality
  Inkatha Freedom Party majority
  Inkatha Freedom Party plurality
  Other party majority
  Other party plurality

The ward winner map is now available - see right.

Awesome, thanks htonl. I will replace the current map with this one.--Discott (talk) 11:41, 14 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Any particular reason why we are using the wards used in local election rather than the voting districts the IEC uses for national and provincial elections for the map?--Duncanza (talk) 14:49, 14 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Because the VDs are so small in many cases that the map becomes hard to make out. And, I guess, because that's what we did in 2014. - htonl (talk) 20:30, 14 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Map showing the largest party in each voting district.
  Other party
Tie between two or more parties

I have added a VD winner map (although without the majority/plurality distinction) if it is preferred. See right. - htonl (talk) 06:22, 21 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
