DescriptionCross Roads by the Elephant and Castle Pub at Amwell - geograph.org.uk - 162146.jpg
English: Cross Roads by the Elephant and Castle Pub at Amwell. The Elephant and Castle pub seen in the background has a lovely garden and fine open fires in the winter. It also has a well in the bar, with a clear cover which you can gaze down whilst having a pint. Following the lane to the right will take you a short distance to the village of Wheathampstead, my birthplace, and that of Apsley Cherry Garard who went with Capt Scott to the South Pole.
