Baltimore Orioles and History-of article edit

I've declined the PROD-deletion of History of the Baltimore Orioles because I think it is a potentially legitimate article, in contrast to the person who nominated the article for deletion. What is needed is updating this history article to account for changes in the history content of Baltimore Orioles and a contraction of the history content of that article so that the History-of article has a legitimate role as a sub-topic article. I am not familiar enough with the Orioles, or for that matter any MLB team, to confidently make the required changes myself. The reason why I am bringing this here is that it appears that several MLB teams have main article / history-of article pairings and revision of this article pair would contribute to standardization. If you disagree about the viability of this article, my apologies. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 02:21, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

1973 Cincinnati Reds season edit

It was this particular article that made me realize we need to standardize team season articles. As the article stands this moment, it is cluttered with infoboxes, including separate infoboxes for league standings, post season games, roster, and player stats. This is getting out of control. Can we discuss here how to standardize these league season articles? Kingturtle (talk) 14:13, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Project status and other questions edit

Is this project still viable? Whether it is or not, is there an article that is a good example to which we can look during the standardization process? I've been creating some player pages, and would like to add transactions involving those players to the correct places in the various team-season pages. Should such transactions be split into pre-, in-, and post-season, or grouped together in one spot? Guidance, please? Dewelar (talk) 19:53, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK, I guess the answer is "no, this project has been essentially abandoned", then. I will continue standardizing as best I can as I edit various team pages anyway, and hope that perhaps someday this project will rise from the ashes. -Dewelar (talk) 02:27, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
