inconsistency between articles edit

The article on the Kirkwood-Cohansey aquifer states that the aquifer's water contains unhealthy levels of mercury. The article on the New Jersey Pine Barrens/Pinelands says that the water is among the purest in the United States. Both cannot be right. Jcbowers18 (talk) 19:24, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

Discrepency on listed photo year for Albany street bridge, New Brunswick edit

Looking at the photo of the albany street bridge (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Albany_Street_Bridge,_1910.png), which is apart of a larger arial of New Brunswick (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Aero_view_of_New_Brunswick,_New_Jersey,_1910_(cropped).png) these files are both noted as being illustrations from 1910. However, the discrepancy is the addition of the boathouse attached downstream of the bridge, which reportedly washed away in 1882 (https://www.rucrew.com/history). Ragengauge (talk) 20:36, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

The source of the map is:
  • "Aero view of New-Brunswick, New Jersey, 1910". The Library of Congress. 1910. Retrieved 2024-01-16.
Because it was published in 1910, that is the date that we have to use.
However you can use {{efn}} & a == Notes === section with {{notelist}} to add a note to the caption, then put the caveat & rucrew.com footnote in the explanatory footnote. Peaceray (talk) 21:24, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ragengauge, you did not state where the photo was used. I presume that it is at Albany Street Bridge. There is a discrepancy, in that the original boathouse washed away in 1882, but the bridge was built in 1887. My guess is that there was a rebuilt floating boathouse; perhaps you can find documentation about this. Peaceray (talk) 21:33, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I found no documentation stating of a second floating boathouse. The current boathouse is down past Boyd Park. According to multiple sources, chiefly https://scarletknights.com/sports/2017/6/11/facilities-boathouse-html.aspx The current boathouse was built in 1950.
Oddly enough, in this "documentary," supposedly produced by Coach William Levitt in 1961 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOL-_CfjDLU&t=7), the crew had no boathouse for 25 years, beginning in 1934. This, however, would contradict the class of 1914 boathouse page on scarletknights.com claim of the boathouse being built in 1950.
Of additional note, I did find one video with a picture of the original boathouse not found anywhere else online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRVWRdZHI9w&t=11). Ragengauge (talk) 23:09, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
