Welcome to the second Bugle for 2021!
This month's edition includes three book reviews. Hugo999 discusses a recent work which, by correcting a major misunderstanding of the size of the forces involved, has led to a reassessment of New Zealand's role in the Gallipoli campaign. Hog Farm looks at an older book on the Battle of Perryville. Last but not least, Hawkeye7 has assessed a history of the US Army's 1st Infantry Division in the Gulf War.
While the article news section includes only three new A-class articles, it highlights an impressive crop of nine articles and an iconic photo which were promoted to featured status in January -- well done to all concerned.

The Military History Article Writing Contest commenced its January 2021 edition with 10 editors submitting entries. First place was taken by Zawed with 38 points from 7 articles, earning the WikiChevrons, with second place going to Sturmvogel_66 with 37 points from 4 articles, who was awarded the Writer's Barnstar. Also scoring were HogFarm (just 1 point behind Sturmvogel_66), Catlemur, Chetsford, Djmaschek, Gog the Mild, Parsecboy, Peacemaker67, and Tomobe03. Congratulations and thanks to all participants. Remember to submit the articles you work on for next month's contest.
