Collaboration

The Collaboration section is an area of collaborative tasks that the project is working on as a whole.

In 2008, a community forum was established to help manage common goals of the associated Food and Drink WikiProjects. The inactive discussion is located here.

Goal specific forums
  • Guidelines forum - This forum has been set up for the various Food and Drink projects to develop a set of Manual of Style guidelines for use in articles under the auspices of all the related Food and Drink WikiProjects and task forces. This would be similar to the MoS guidelines for biographies or legal articles.
  • Restaurant notability guidelines discussion - This guideline is intended to extend WP:CORP, in no way to replace its purpose, in regard to restaurants. It is also not intended to replace, supplant, or otherwise alter the standard notability requirements.

Smithfield Foods

Hello everyone, I'm a representative of Smithfield Foods and would like to request an update this article. The areas on governance and some of the financial numbers are very out of date. Our most recent SEC filing has verified and updated information regarding our financial figures and governance. Here is the link: http://files.shareholder.com/downloads/SFD/1972273717x0xS91388-16-64/91388/filing.pdf. If you anyone wants me to call out specifics I would be more than happy to or I understand if you would like to pull the information out yourself. I am respectful of Wikipedia's guidelines concerning conflict of interest and have made no edits myself but wanted to encourage others to make this article accurate. Food organizations

  • American Pie Council -- greatly expanded and ref'd this article -- you might want to remove it from the list now; it's far from perfect, but I don't know how much more there is to add about the organization. Herostratus (talk) 03:16, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Quality Assurance International
  • James Beard Foundation -- could you please add the organization's mission, on the about page, and update the initial description more closely match the language on the about page (including mentions of Women's Leadership and Impact programs)? Under publications, could you please update JBF Events to "Monthly," remove JBF Notes (no longer in print), and change the "Delights and Prejudices" to "James Beard Foundation Stories"? Thanks!
