The following are the list of more than 201 articles that have been selected by the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team from our project for the Version 0.7 release. (The raw data is available for both the selected articles and all articles [Warning: link is >1 MB] above a minimum 400 point threshold.) For each article, we need to resolve outstanding tags and issues, and ideally improve all of these articles as much as possible before the scheduled publication of Wikipedia 0.7 currently set for December 2008.
Contest and awards edit
To create incentives to accomplish this work and in appreciation of the effort, we will be presenting service awards and barnstars based on the amount of work you do. The awards are cumulative. For example, bringing an article up three classes entitles you to the Bronze, Silver, and Gold service awards. To add a bit of friendly competition, the three editors who gain the most points (1 point = an article raised by 1 class) by 1 December 2008 will be awarded bronze, silver and gold wikis. The coordinators will administer awards and by default will post them on your talk page within a few days of the end of the contest. If you'd like yours earlier, please ask one of the coordinators.
Any articles which have begun the GAN, A-class review, or FAC process by December 1 will be able to count those efforts if that particular review passes, even if it concludes past the deadline.
The project barnstar will automatically be awarded to the primary editor(s) of any article on this list which is able to achieve FA class.
To claim points, place your name on the table by the article you are claiming to have improved. (Improvements will be verified by the coordinators.) If you have any questions about the process or need assistance, leave a message on the talk page.
