Wikipedia:WikiProject Dams/Assessment

Welcome to the assessment department of the Dams WikiProject! This department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's Dam articles. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

Category:Dam articles by quality serves as the foundation for an automatically generated worklist. The ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the {{WikiProject Dams}} project banner. Filling in a rating in the class parameter of the {{WikiProject Dams}} template on the talk page of an article causes the name of that article to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories of Category:Dam articles by quality.

Project templateEdit

The template banner, {{WikiProject Dams|class =|importance =}} is added to the talk pages of dam articles. and gives:

WikiProject Dams (Rated Project-class)
This article is within the scope of WikiProject Dams, a collaborative effort to improve the coverage of Dams on Wikipedia. If you would like to participate, please visit the project page, where you can join the discussion and see a list of open tasks.
Project This article has been rated as Project-Class on the project's quality scale.
