This diagram in SVG format shows the terminology for the basic fielding positions in the game of cricket, for a right-handed batsman. The area to a right-handed batsman's left is called the leg side or on side, while the off side is to his right. If the batsman is left-handed, the leg and off sides are reversed and the fielding positions are a mirror image of those shown.
