The third Singapore Wikipedians' meetup was held on 10 March 2007 in Chaerani's residence, a piece of landed property in Queenstown, Singapore. Five SGpedians turned up for the meetup.

What happened edit

  • 1.45 pm: Terence Ong, Chaerani and WikiInquirer met at Queenstown MRT Station.
  • 2.05 pm: Participants went to Anchorpoint KFC for lunch. They later chatted at the foodcourt for an hour or so, while waiting for Goh wz.
  • 3.30 pm: Goh wz arrived and joined the group in its discussion while having his lunch.
  • 4.00 pm: The four went to Chaerani's house and participated in discussions regarding Wikipedia (e.g. WikiInquirer's WikiStudy, Wikimania 2007 scholarships application) and general issues. Chaerani provided her wireless network, so we could access the Internet whenever the need arose.
  • 6.20 pm: The group went for a photography outing in the neighbourhood, during which participants took a group photograph.
  • 7.15 pm: Terence Ong, Goh wz and WikiInquirer had dinner at Colbar restaurant. (Chaerani had to return to attend to her child.)
  • 8.20 pm: The three returned to join Chaerani in her house, and to find that InfernoXV had arrived after an hour of trying to find the location of our meetup. The five of us continued to hold discussions among ourselves.
  • 9.30 pm: Dispersal.

Participants edit

  1. Terence Ong
  2. Goh wz
  3. Chaerani
  4. WikiInquirer
  5. InfernoXV

Post-meetup edit

  • Hey everyone. Sorry for my absence. Sounds like you all had fun.. Haha... Had some family issues which cropped up last minute. No worries anyway, I'll be sure to join in for the next meetup! CONFIRM and plus chop and guarantee card ah~ XD -- Derrick 16:40, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we did have fun! I hope that you would be able to resolve your issues soon.
Thanks, once again, to Chaerani for providing us her wireless network and for being such a marvellous host. Thanks, also, to all those who were able to make it down to the meetup; I really enjoyed our being together. Through our conversations, I got to find out more about you and Wikipedia, and also got to gain some general knowledge.
Participants, please check your e-mail; I've sent out an e-mail containing all our contact details. —Goh wz 15:02, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • You guys don't forget to send out application for Wikimania in Taipei. There's nothing to lose, just give it a try! We need reps from singapore in international arena. Chaerani 12:33, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
