Original – Portrait of Farncoise Marguerite de Sévigné, Countess of Grignan (1646-1705) by Alexander Roslin

Reason: The renowned Madame de Sévigné was her mother and they always wrote to one another. Françoise-Marguerite de Sévigné married a big-shot count and moved to the provinces. From thereon, her mother began with her perhaps the most famous series of correspondence in literary history. Oh yeah, and the quality is good.
