WaterMinder a mobile application that helps track a person’s water consumption, with daily reminders to drink regularly, was released in 2013.[1] The app offers water intake reminders, tracking, and goals to incentivize users to improve their hydration routines.[2]

The app was developed by independent developer Kriss Smolka, CEO of Funn Media, and the first version was released in 2013.[3] In addition to tracking water consumption, the app can also track alcohol, beer, soda, and coffee consumption.[4] It is compatible with the Apple iOS devices, Fitbit, and Android devices such as Google Fit.

In 2015, WaterMinder was named the winner of the Best Fitness category at the Silicon Beach App Awards.[5]

An Apple Watch version of the app was released in 2015. WaterMinder was one of the first apps made available on the Apple App Store for the Apple Watch.[6]
