Vamsi Paidipally (known as Vamsi) (born 27 July 1979) is a Tollywood film director who is known for directing the films Munna (2007), Brindavanam (2010), Yevadu (2014) ,Oopiri (2016) and Maharshi (2019). He won Filmfare Award for Best Director - Telugu for the film Oopiri.

Vamsi Paidipally was born in khanapur, Adilabad, Telangana, India. Since his childhood he has been fascinated by films. His father had a theatre in his district so he grew up in the atmosphere of theatre. He did his schooling in Hyderabad Public School, and his intermediate from Little Flower Junior College. He then completed Bachelor's degree in commerce and Master's in Computer Applications (MCA) from Badruka College. He worked as a software engineer for sometime.
Vamsi Paidipally is married to Malini and has a daughter.
