September 2018 edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Renewable resource. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. Dan Koehl (talk) 09:45, 13 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Looks like we got that sorted, just a case of trying to both revert at the same time. FiberTech (talk) 11:48, 13 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for that, thanks for your understanding. Dan Koehl (talk) 11:43, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Strobel edit July 11 2019 edit

This is an employee of Yale University. We have been asked by Vice President Scott Strobel to make edits to his Wiki page. Having just completed those edits, it seems you have now removed them. Please reinstate these changes as soon as possible. Thank you.

  • Your edits triggered the suspected vandalism filter as they left multiple markup tags incomplete and appeared to be test edits. You are encouraged to use the preview feature of wikipedia before publishing edits to prevent recent change patrollers like myself from reverting your edits. Additionally, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy on conflict of interest with your most recent statements, in particular the section on paid editing. Feel free to make additional changes to the article bearing in mind this response, but I will not do that for you. FiberTech (talk) 16:50, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Warning protocol to reverted users edit

Greetings,
Currently when you are reverting vandalism you are only completing half of the equation. You're doing an extremely good job finding said edits and reverting them- however you're not taking advantage of our warning system. Warnings of different types and levels follow proper process. As well as that, once a user has gotten a warning 4 or 4im, protocol as well follows stating that you need to report them here. That said, it does generate work to have to go back to the user's contributions and warn them for previous reversions, so it would be highly appreciated if you did so. Seeing as you use Twinkle, it's extremely easy to add warnings, simply click the warn tab at the top in the talk page of the user. I do as well appreciate your contributions to counter-vandalism operations, and you are making a positive impact within the community. Redactyll Social pub of talking 17:45, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Respectfully, my user contribution history shows that after any revert I provide a warning on the user's talk page. Additionally, there should be at least 3 or 4 AIV submissions from today alone. I appreciate the concern and information though. FiberTech (talk) 17:48, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Vinay Maloo edit

Hello! The article seems to be from a non-credible blog type news house and mentions Nahata, not Maloo. Therefore, I have removed it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nuttyprofessor2016 (talkcontribs) 12:38, 12 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm sure you're aware... edit

...but you're also getting close to 3RR on the Botton article, and are already there on the Barnard one. Just a heads up that you should stop reverting now to avoid any risk of censure yourself. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 14:49, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

In respect to my recent edit of the Vaporwave article edit

Us, as a community have been trying to erase hardvapour and fashwave from that article ever since they got there around 4 years ago. They do not represent the genre and it's shameful that that content is protected while the rest of the information on the genre remains incomplete and misinformed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.158.150.51 (talk) 14:03, 19 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Use the talk page to reach consensus and do not ignore the noted warnings against removing referenced content unilaterally FiberTech (talk) 14:05, 19 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

To revert an edit edit

In Dr. Shamsheet's article there is a wrong preposition used before name of a medical college. Here it goes;"He obtained his 'MD' Degree 'at' Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute. But an editor has removed "at" & instead of that he added "from" which is not appropriate. I tried very hard to revert it but I couldn't. Hope you will certainly make the appropriate change. •One more thing the profile picture of Dr. Shamsheer in info box is small in area as compared to previous one. Please! restore the previous profile picture also. Thank you. (223.230.163.253 (talk) 07:30, 1 August 2019 (UTC))Reply

Problem with your custom signature edit

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you. 18:03, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
