VisitScotland page update

Hi there, I have been trying to update the VisitScotland page for a while now but you have reverted the changes. Could I please request that someone makes the edit and modifies it to suit Wikipedia? I am new to editing on here but the information currently on the page is inaccurate and not comprehensive.

You mention that the copy is too long - can you suggest a max word count for each section in that case? I also don't understand why this information cannot be sourced to the VisitScotland website as the information here is accurate and all covered?

Any help would be appreciated.

@Anna at VisitScotlandCorp: Your edits were problematic for several reasons. The excessive length was just the one I mentioned. The edits were also sourced solely to the organization's own website, which Wikipedia does not consider a reliable source as it is not written independently. Also, because the text was based largely on the single self-published source, the neutrality of the information is questionable. The length issue itself has to do with balance. As an encyclopedia entry, the text should briefly cover the history of the organization (date of its founding, dates of major achievements, etc.) and then more extensively cover the actual activities of the organization and its impact on the Scottish Tourism Industry. As you have stated here that you are associated with VisitScotland's Communications Department, you must disclose the paid nature of your edits. That said, because of your conflict of interest, I would recommend that if there are changes you would like to see on the page, you discuss the matter at Talk:VisitScotland, with specific suggestions as to what you would like to see changed, preferably with citations to specific reliable sources to verify the new information you would like to include. @Jackmile657: The SC Democrat is a pay-walled website, meaning that I'd have to pay a registration fee to access its content. I do not choose to do so, but I suspect the source verifies that Lyttle did, in fact, open a company called The Lyttle Company. That's not really a notable accomplishment. Claims of being published in The New York Times turn out to mean that he wrote a letter to the editor. Again, not notable. A link you have titled "John Lyttle -- The Goolge Notability Panel" is really just a link to the Google results page for "John Lyttle III". You're going to have to find better sources, and more notable accomplishments other than founding a company and helping an author by creating charts and graphs for his book. @Rohitdenu: It is copied from other websites (this one, this one, and this one, at least), and it is promotional, which is understandable since the information is coming from the subject herself. @Rohitdenu: You asked the question, but then ignored the answer. Your changes to the Kutty Padmini are invalid because:

1. you have added material copied verbatim from this source and this source, which violates Wikipedia's copyright violation policy;
2. the information is not verified by any reliable source;
3. the text is largely promotional (not surprising, since it comes from the website of her own company).

@Emagill21: The page has not been declined again. It was declined once, you have resubmitted it, and it is still awaiting review based on the resubmission. I see that you have added some independent sources, but many of these merely quote the AmCham survey as a source for their stories on the general state of US-China trade. Only one of the cited articles (the Forbes article) appears to have any in-depth coverage of the organization itself. I've changed the user name to my own. I created the WHColes name for my records to keep each page I edit identified. I was not trying to usurp a system it was just easier for me to keep track.

I gave you his entire medical bio - what do you need to support the history?

He has bestselling books that are self-published. That doesn't and shouldn't negate the success. I've attached the ISBN numbers for each. What else do you need as supporting references?

His awards stand. Through those awards is how I first learned of Dr. Coles. They're quite exceptional so I'm not sure how they can be deemed inappropriate.

I need to know what needs to be done to keep this article from being deleted as you've proposed.

No, I am not implying that I have used other user names to edit other articles. I was recently asked by another author if I could update their Wikipedia. In thinking that I may do that I felt I would sort the user names by pages. Imago Theatre Portland, Oregon

Hi, Dan:

I am reaching out to ask that you reconsider the deletion of the Imago Theater (Portland, Oregon) wiki page. I am a brand new editor and had a fairly steep learning curve with this one even after watching tutorials, so I believe my editing process may have left something to be desired. I have since gone into the article to fill it out more fully and make many citations. You had mentioned that they were a local, run of the mill company, but I hope my updates will show that the company has been touring nationally and internationally for many decades and have received significant and broad attention. I cited some NY Times Reviews, Vanity, American Theater, etc. I am a theater historian and have really never come across a company quite like them. They've been compared to Cirque de Soleil mixed with Mummenschanz, and I would agree. It was unlike anything I had ever before seen which prompted me to work on the entry page as the only thing that existed there was information about the historic building they had been slated to sell which they in fact didn't. Anyhow, appreciate your review of this and I am very excited to be here and hope to continue to bolster that page and also look into updating some more theater sites as well!! Pure Grown Diamonds

Hi there. Pure Grown Diamonds or Gemesis Inc. is a wholesaler and distributor not a diamond grower.

The company, as per its website and its business model (which I have duly linked) clearly indicate that it is a wholesaler. Several retailers claim to be Pure Grown Diamond resellers. Hence your edited claim of PGD growing diamonds using HPHT method is incorrect. I have edited that back today.

@JaneCooper20: Wired describes Gemesis (Pure Grown Diamond's predecessor company) as a diamond producer. Neither of the sources you've linked from the PGD website (their "Become a Retailer" or their "Retailer Login" page) refutes the statement made by Wired nor by Gemesis' own web page (found through the Internet Archive and linked in the article itself). I will correct myself that the Gemesis website does mention that PGD uses (or at least, Gemesis used) both common diamond growing techniques in their laboratories. From what I can gather, Gemisis Acquisition Corporation (Deleware File #5212499) was founded on 9/13/2012, and Gemesis Diamond Company (Deleware File #2672225) was founded 10/9/1996. The description of company foundings and website acquisitions given on the Wikipedia page sounds a lot like a giant shell game. I'm done trying to sort it out. Write whatever you like. @Asadkhan110487: As you appear to be (or at least, claim to be) Asadullah Khan, I should point you to Wikipedia's policy about editing your own biography. Rather than editing the article directly, you should edit the article's talk page and request specific edits, preferably with citations to sources that can verify the changes you wish to have made. The specific problems with the edits you've made are:

1. they do not cite any sources, so we have no way of knowing they are correct;
2. they use incorrect Wikipedia markup, so the format of the article has been broken; and
3. they represent a conflict of interest because, as I mentioned above, you should not be editing your own biography.

@WikiDan61:. I am NOT getting paid to edit the Society of American Foresters wiki entry. I am editing it as a long-time SAF member. My contract work for SAF is research on the interface between forest science--old and new--and forest policy. In short, how can available science better inform policy makers and policy decisions. Google GuldinForestry.com for more details on my research and activities.

I think much additional work remains to be done to improve wikipedia articles related to SAF matters. Here's my quick list:

• The Journal of Forestry's wikipedia entry is out of date.
• There is no equivalent wikipedia page for Forest Science, so I think a new page needs to be created. Both of these peer-reviewed journals are now published by Oxford University Press, and they have taken over maintenance of all the back issues (JoF 116 years & ForSci 64 years). → The wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_forestry_journals also needs to be edited after the page for Forest Science is created to properly link to it. In the same article, in the defunct journal list in that article, links for the Southern, Northern, and Western Journals of Applied Forestry can be linked to the archive of past published issues via the Forest Science page.
• I've also been urged by some fellow SAF members to add the list of SAF annual convention by year, city, and theme and to note joint meetings with the Canadian Institute of Forestry. I have an Excel spreadsheet of those back to 1946--sifted from published proceedings available online. Although some might think that's "copyrighted material", that information is searchable and publicly available online, so I don't think it's copyrighted. What's your interpretation of that?

1. Edit Talk:Journal of Forestry to recommend changes that would be needed to bring it up to date.
2. Request an article about Forest Science at WP:Requested articles, or create a draft yourself at Draft:Forest Science and submit it through the Articles for Creation process. (I would recommend that, in addition to the comments you've made on your talk page, you place a disclaimer on the talk page of any article or draft associated with the SAF. You can use the {{Connected contributor}} template for this purpose.)
3. The list of annual SAF conventions might be of interest to SAF members, but is not of interest to a general encyclopedia audience. Presumably, this information exists on an SAF website somewhere. If not, it would be better to post the information there. Remember, Wikipedia is not intended to be an alternative for your own organization's website.

I will note that you have cited the German Wikipedia as one of your sources, which is something we do not allow. (Since Wikipedia may be edited by anyone, it is not always a reliable source.) 1. We don't use Wikipedia pages as citations (see WP:CIRCULAR). Instead, I've created the proper Wikilinks.
2. I've removed the list of past presidents and governors: this material is considered trivia, of interest only to actual members of AmChan, but not to a general encyclopedia-reading public.
3. I've removed the mission statement, per WP:MISSION.
4. I've updated the headings to properly structure the article.

I would recommend the following updates prior to publication:

1. More Wikilinks. See Help:Linking.
2. Less history. This history section of the article takes up about 2/3 of the total text, and is entirely too detailed for the general public. Limit the history to the general facts and dates around the founding, and any significant events that have happened with the organization.

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages

I see you recently accepted a pending change to February 26 that did not include a direct source.

You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the edit notice on that page, the content guideline and/or the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. All new additions without references are now being either reverted on-sight or in some cases where the patroller is especially motivated, immediately sourced. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.

All the pages in the Days of the Year project have had pending changes protection turned on to prevent vandalism and further addition of entries without direct sources. As a pending changes patroller, please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that day of year page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you and please keep up your good work! Inserting information based CV that she provided herself (Cathy J, Price)

Hi Dan, we recently held a wiki writing event at ETH, Zurich to increase wiki entries for female scientists, and we simply edited the wiki entry based on the CV materials (PDF) that were providedly directly by the scientists beforehand (and are not necessarily available online). Is there a way to put back the edits we've done? I see at least for Suzanne Haber and Cathy J. Price are completely removed. @Ikurniaw: CVs provided by the subjects themselves are not considered reliable sources, because one can really write anything one wants about oneself in a CV. We prefer to rely on more reliable secondary sources for career information included in Wikipedia biographies. (BTW, I do not see an article for Suzanne Haber; have you spelled that name correctly? The only other article that your edit history indicates you've touched is Kate Jeffery, and those edits have not been reverted.) To answer your question What is the point of having a wiki entry for biography if all the materials are actually available in other websites?, please recall that Wikipedia is not a publisher of original research, it is a summary of prior research, gathered into a single place. So, the point is that the information has been previously published by sources that have the resources to fact check the information, so that Wikipedia can then summarize the information with the knowledge that the information published here is verifiable by references to reliable sources. @Ikurniaw: Unless you've violated copyright, or violated some other rule to cause your edits to be suppressed, your edits will never be deleted permanently; they will always be available in the page history. If you find reliable sources for your changes, you can go back in the page history, edit the version with your text, copy it, and then paste it into the current version of the article. Huntington Station vs. South Huntington

So was South Huntington split from Huntington Station or something? Because according to all the maps I've seen the birthplace of Walt Whitman was actually in South Huntington, despite the address claiming it's in Huntington Station. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 12:15, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

@DanTD: South Huntington and Huntington Station are not distinct places. South Huntington is a "census-designated place", while Huntington Station, in addition to being a CDP, is the name of a local post office that includes the area known as South Huntington, so addresses within South Huntington list themselves as being in Huntington Station for mailing purposes. @DanTD: I take your point about the maps, but if we're going to go in that direction, I wouldn't state that Walt Whitman's birthplace was in Huntington Station because it really never was; the place was probably just called Huntington when he was born, and was later designated as South Huntington as the area became more populated and needed further distinction. Well, I know it's already mentioned in the Huntington Station article. Perhaps there should be something about other sites in surrounding Hamlets and CDP's using Huntington Station mailing addresses. Guild of Copy Editors March 2020 Newsletter Hello and welcome to the March newsletter, a brief update of Guild activities since December 2019. All being well, we're planning to issue these quarterly in 2020, balancing the need to communicate widely with the avoidance of filling up talk pages. Don't forget you can unsubscribe at any time; see below. Election results: There was little changeover in the roster of Guild Coordinators, with Miniapolis stepping down with distinction as a coordinator emeritus while Jonesey95 returned as lead coordinator. The next election is scheduled for June 2020 and all Wikipedians in good standing may participate. January Drive: Thanks to everyone for the splendid work, completing 215 copy edits including 56 articles from the Requests page and 116 backlog articles from the target months of June to August 2019. At the conclusion of the drive there was a record low of 323 articles in the copy editing backlog. Of the 27 editors who signed up for the drive, 21 copyedited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. February Blitz: Of the 15 editors who signed up for this one-week blitz, 13 completed at least one copy edit. A total of 32 articles were copy edited, evenly split between the twin goals of requests and the oldest articles from the copy-editing backlog. Full results are here. March Drive: Currently underway, this event is targeting requests and backlog articles from September to November 2019. As of 18 March, the backlog stands at a record low of 253 articles and is expected to drop further as the drive progresses. @SallyBenZakour: According to the Morocco article, the Constitution of Morocco provides for a legislature and independent judiciary, and, under the 2011 Moroccan constitutional referendum, the king's powers were reduced while the powers of the Prime Minsister were increased. These statements in the Morocco article are validly cited to reliable sources. Your own interpretation of the Constitution of Morocco appears to be at odds with the reliable sources. Since we generally prefer not to rely on direct interpretation of primary sources (such as the Constitution itself) but rather on the interpretations of those sources that have been published in reliable sources, you'll need to find sources as reliable or more reliable than the sources presently cited to claim that Morocco is an absolute monarchy. Morocco is an Absolute Monarchy

I'm the user that added Morocco on the list of Absolute Monarchies, The new Constitution Reform of 2011 honestly was just a reform of terms and phrases, but nothing changed concerning the king's powers, there is no Reliable source more than the constitution itself, chapter one says "that this constituion is based on the separation of powers and that Morocco is a Constitutional Monarchy..." but we should know that Morocco is a Semi-theocratic state,so it has a religious power and it is : The Commander of the faithful ,this power is the strongest one in the state, that provides for the king to be the head of all other political powers Because in Islam Law the commander of the faithful can't share his powers, and he has to surround all powers of the state,this on one hand. On the other hand let's see the other chapters that proves my subject :

chapter 47 : The king who appoints the prime minister // chapter 48 : The king is the head of the council of ministers// chapter 50 : The king issues the order to implement the law// chapter 53 : The King is the Supreme Commander of the Royal Armed Forces. He has the right to appoint anyone to military positions// chapter 56 : The King is the head of the Supreme Judicial Council (Head of the Judiciary)// chapter 67 : (Says the king is the head of legislature)// chapter 87 : (Says the king can dismiss the prime minister [if a king or a president of a state can dismiss the prime minister, well here it shows that the prime minister has no power over the government nor the executive power! there are other evidences that proves my subject, like the Moroccan Media who speaks about Establishing a Constitutional Monarchy, if it's applied on the real world,why would they speak in media about establishing it? (take in mind that in morocco, the media is not an authority because it is subject to the Ministry of Media and that ministry is subject to a superior power...) and last, moving from Absolute to Constitutional monarchy without the people establish it forcefully logically there is no such thing, because in 2011 events the "Media" says that the Monarch wanted so, and excuse-me let me ask you a question,do you ever heard in the world that a Monarch wants to give his/her powers to let his or her people to account him?

@SallyBenZakour: This is why we don't use primary sources at Wikipedia. Your own argument is that Morocco's constitution defines the country as a "constitutional monarchy", but then you choose to interpret that statement in your own light. Unless someone has actually published that interpretation in a reliable source, it remains your own original research, which is not admissible at Wikipedia. Sorry for confusion, I think I saved edits after each change. I was told last time that Tara may not be notable enough based on other pages that linked to her and info provided. I added more info about her working with other celebrities to the page here. Also I added information from Angelica Hale's page mentioning Tara. She is a well-known Youtube celebrity, star from X-Factor, and one of the most famous vocal coaches in the world. Is there any reason this page is being rejected?

@Rickyshockley: The problem with the Tara Simon page that you have repeatedly tried to contribute is twofold:

1. The only reference you've been able to provide is the Wikipedia entry on The X Factor (Season 2) on which she appeared as a contestant. Unless you can find more significant coverage in reliable sources, then she does not appear to meet the criteria for inclusion at Wikipedia. (By the way, noting celebrities whom Simon has coached, without providing any source for such claims, is pointless, since notability is not inherited: a person must be notable on their own, not by virtue of their family, colleagues, or friends.)
2. You have stated that she appeared as a "Top 10 Finalist" on The X Factor, but this article contradicts that statement, noting only that she made it to a round of 24 contestants, where she was eliminated before the 16 finalists were chosen.

@AnnieOleary: No, that would be excessive. Instead, make a new section on the talk page called "Requested edits". Explain that you are an editor with a conflict of interest (Hi. I'm the Editorial Director of Netmums, and I'd like to request the following edits.) Then, start by making a series of simple requests, such as (these are only examples!):

• I'd like to add a line in the "Content" section about the new GobblydeeGook section that was added in 2017. Please see this story (provide link to press story, etc about the new section) to verify.
• I'd like to change the owner from aufeminin to XYZ corp, which bought the website in 2019. (Provide link to story documenting this fact.)

@Christian Sanroma: The edits you have most recently made to Multi-stage flash distillation are problematic for two reasons:

1. they are almost identical to the edits that have already been reverted and permanently deleted by Diannaa as a copyright violation of Fundamentals of Salt Water Desalination By H.T. El-Dessouky and H.M. Ettouney;

   note that making minor changes to wording, but retaining the structure and sequence of the prior edits is considered close paraphrasing and is still a copyright violation

2. they are overly detailed, make the article read more like a textbook chapter than an encyclopedia article.

If your professor has assigned you the task of updating this article, I suggest you recommend that they engage at Wikipedia's School and Univeristy Projects page to understand how to properly mentor you through the process of writing and editing Wikipedia articles. 1. this is a copyright violation and cannot be allowed to remain;
2. companies use their websites to promote themselves, which is appropriate for their website, but completely inapproprate for Wikipedia.

The information about the origin of Sengar caste, which is a gotra of Rajputs, has been given incorrect information. Even in the given source, there is no truth of any kind.

The source of what has changed in the Sengar caste( Rajpoot gotra ) is not reliable in any way. The source that has been given about Lord Rama's sister is also not proved that they would have been related to him in any way with the sister of Lord Shri Ram. The truth is that the word Sengar is not even mentioned in the mythological books, Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, etc., their origin in any book is not mentioned in any mythical book. If people like this will be linked to the people, then there are many modern gotras who will start connecting with mythical men to prove themselves great.Which will not be true at all, Ishant Sengar seems to be hated by one of his special Jati Yadavs as he made objectionable talk about Ahir women on his page. In order to prove himself great, he has given a wrong source, or from the source he has given, in no way there is any evidence about the origin of Senger, even the name Senger. @Arun singh krishnaut: There is nothing in the Sengar article about Lord Rama's sister, or any Indian mythological texts. The text to which you refer (History of the Rise of the Mohomedan Power...) was written in 1829: it is unlikely to be considered a reliable source since the rigor of historical study was significantly lower in the past then is currently considered useful. Also, the passage that you have repeatedly cited refers to the term rajput and its origins, not specifically the origin of the term Sengar, so it is not really relevant. @Lauraloveswiki: I am unable to view either source you've provided at the moment (work firewall). However, I would note that YouTube videos are not generally considered reliable sources. The Anime News Network source I'll have to evaluate when I can. If it is valid, I would still not recommend the changes that I have previously reverted. These were changes to the lead, where the simple statement that the books received wide commercial success is sufficient. Current events Election time: Nomination of candidates in our mid-year Election of Coordinators opened on 1 June, and voting will take place from 00:01 on 16 June. GOCE coordinators normally serve a six-month term and are elected on an approval basis. Self-nominations are welcome. If you've thought about helping out at the Guild, or you know of another editor who would make a good coordinator, please consider standing for election or nominating them here. June Blitz: This blitz begins at 00:01 on 14 June and ends at 23:59 on 20 June, with themes of articles tagged for copyedit in May 2020 and requests. Drive and blitz reports March Drive: Self-isolation from coronavirus may have played a hand in making this one of our most successful backlog elimination drives. The copy-editing backlog was reduced from 477 to a record low of 118 articles, a 75% reduction. The last four months of 2019 were cleared, reducing the backlog to three months. Fifty requests were also completed, and the total word count of copy-edited articles was 759,945. Of the 29 editors who signed up, 22 completed at least one copy edit. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. April Blitz: This blitz ran from 12 to 18 April with a theme of Indian military history. Of the 18 people who signed up, 14 copyedited at least one article. Participants claimed a total of 60 copyedits. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. Edits and Changes Done to A Page I Was Working On

You recently changed information i was working on for a page for my grandfather Joe Boland. This is my first time using Wiki and I have found it extremely frustrating to use.

Why did you make remove all of my recent edits? I am citing everything correctly and no "personal recollections" are being used. Please restore the changes, I am trying to finish this work in time for Father's day for MY father Joe Boland Jr, son of Joe Boland. I have been doing a enormous amount of research as well as digging up pictures from family allover the US.

On an additional note, your reason stated "personal reflection" being used and that we really need reliable information. Well, the reflections were taken directly FROM Joe Boland himself, published fir a broadcast that HE wrote. The reflection are FROM THE PERSON that the page is about. How more reliable can you get?

@Mike.Boland33: Your entire edit to the article was an excerpt that you credited to Joe Boland himself from The First Time I Saw Rockne. This is why I noted that the content consisted entirely of a personal reflection (i.e. your grandfather's reflections). I'm sorry if you find Wikipedia a frustrating place to edit, but we are trying to create one of the world's most expansive sources of knowledge, so the rules to require that articles be based on independent information, not personal reflections (for more information, refer to Wikipedia's article on reliable sources and its article about the use of primary sources (i.e. the writings of the subject himself)). And while I laud your desire to honor your father by writing about his father, Wikipedia discourages editors from writing about themselves or their own family, because it is too difficult to maintain the necessary neutrality when doing so. Hi, we believe the CONTROVERSY section of the WIKI is irrelevant and incorrect. Personnel are not mouth-pieces for the UK Government, but provide media output for the Royal Air Force. The BBC did not find any of its employees in breach of any policy's and the article in the Belfast Telegraph, aside from the fact that is was from 2008 was a single cited source.

Hotel episode guide

Is it okay if I change the airdates for Season 2 (1983-84)? I found out that most of them are wrong. Apparently, whoever was compiling them went with the RERUN airdates, and not the ORIGINAL ones. If you want, I can provide the correct airdates for you. The other seasons (though I think one from the third may be off) are correct. Thanks for your message. I had recognised that a COI issue was close at hand, so at both my additions of new material to the Norman Lang Stevenson article I declared my family connection very clearly.

I had thought about it carefully and for the following reason concluded that I could contribute, as long as I declared my connection and wrote nothing contentious. The article was labelled as a stub which ought to be expanded. But such an obscure topic would never get expanded except by someone with some personal interest, like a family member or a Carlton Cricket Club member. No-one else would have either the motivation or the background knowledge. The article seemed doomed forever to remain a stub which, before my first contribution, was actually misleading through its omissions.

Please can you clarify what you mean about starting a discussion on the Talk page. That I should make a short statement there in favour of my reverted version and await responses? The last comment there was in 2017 so I’m unsure if there’s anyone who’d get engaged in this. But then I'm so new to Wikipedia that I don’t know how it works.

Is that what I should do?

Roughly how many people need to be involved in a Talk page discussion for ‘consensus’ to be affirmed? If it’s a decision to make changes, who then implements this?

@Carlwark: Yes, you should start a discussion on Talk:Norman Stevenson regarding whether your expanded version of the article marks an improvement. There are no guidelines as to how many people need to be involved, although if the discussion turns out to be just you and me, we will probably want to seek at least a third opinion. To perhaps save some time, I can expand on my reasons not to support the expansion here.

While Norman Stevenson may have been an avid amateur cricketer, this does not appear to be a notable part of his heritage. Unless you can find evidence that independent sources wrote about his cricketing career, it is best left as a cherished family memory, but not part of his Wikipedia biography. Cricket does not appear to have professional status in Scotland as it does in England and other parts of the world, so it is unlikely that Stevenson's career received much more than local newspaper coverage. If he were only a cricketer, and not an Olympic-level field hockey player, we would like not have an article on him at all. Also, the extensive information on his personal life and non-sporting career appear to be based on knowledge you have of him personally as a family member, not on published independent sources, so this information is not verifiable and should not remain in the article. Finally, your heavy reliance on Stevenson's own book Play is problematic since this appears to have been something of a vanity memoir published by him on behalf of the Carlton Cricket Club. This type of primary source, especially since it is unlikely to have undergone any serious fact-checking or editorial review, is not of much use as a Wikipedia source.

Should you choose to go forward with the discussion at Talk:Norman Stevenson, I will reiterate my rationale there as well.

You don't need to upload the entire text, simply some bullet points about the topics you'd like to see covered. ITV Schools Programme List

Hello,

The information and list of programmes I recently provided for ITV Schools have come from various sources which I have including the ITV Yearbooks from 1970 - 1988, ITV Schools annuals from 1961 to 1993 and wallcharts all from the ITV Schools period of 1957-1983.

The update for the Wikipedia page for ITV Schools was very slim. This took me three weeks to compile.

In actual fact the update to the Wikipedia page was part of a bigger project I am working on with regards to the history of Schools TV in the UK.

Therefore I will take my efforts elsewhere where it will be appreciated.
