Speedy deletion of Frary HouseEdit

A tag has been placed on Frary House requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Yavoh 04:41, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on John Paul O'Connor, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. You provided no reliable, verifiable, independent sources. His own website and a retail opportunity at his publisher's website do not meet any of the requirements. Cabayi (talk) 16:52, 5 November 2018 (UTC)

November 2018Edit

Hello, Whenelvisdied. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but a page you created  Jon Padgett has been deleted as meeting one or more of the Categories for Speedy Deletion.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources which are unconnected with the subject and which provide verifiable information. Someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject.

Any deficiencies should be remedied before reposting as they can lead to repeated deletions.

The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems.

If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard or articles for creation to guide you through the creation process.

You may find this tool useful for finding sources: Google custom search

Don't feel discouraged. My first attempts at creating articles were deleted too. You can ask for help at the TEAHOUSE

There is more information at Wikipedia:Community_portal Cheers, and happy editing. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 18:00, 5 November 2018 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Jon PadgettEdit

Hello, Whenelvisdied. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Jon Padgett".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. UnitedStatesian (talk) 20:24, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi Whenelvisdied, invite to join RfC -- Request for Comment -- on Bruno BettelheimEdit

Hi, thanks for participating in last May's RfC.

There's a new one with the specific question of:

Should our lead sentence describe Bettelheim as a "self-proclaimed psychologist"?
RfC on lead sentence
started: Feb. 25, 2020

Any time and effort you wish to spend on this will be most appreciated. Thanks. FriendlyRiverOtter (talk) 01:14, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 27Edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bruno Bettelheim, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Symbolic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Minor and not-so-minor editsEdit

Hello, I'm BlackcurrantTea. I noticed you've marked two of your recent edits as minor; yet this edit to Twinings Museum and this edit to Rizvi aren't minor. It's an understandable mistake – I often did the same thing when I was starting out here.

The Wikipedia definition of minor is different to what most of us expect. I reviewed Help:Minor edit many times, trying to decide if the changes I was making were minor. It helped me to think of a minor edit as a change that a reader is unlikely to notice (unless it's reverting obvious vandalism: this also counts as minor). Maybe it fixes a typo, or corrects the format of a reference without adding any new information. It doesn't change or add anything very noticeable to the page, and other editors are unlikely to dispute it.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, you can reply to me here; I'll keep your talk page on my watchlist for a bit. Happy editing! BlackcurrantTea (talk) 20:04, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up--I appreciate the feedback and what you're saying makes sense. I'll be more careful in the future. Whenelvisdied (talk) 20:24, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
