Natasha Kaplinsky edit

Hello Uvghifds, The Fair use tag is only for the article BBC News at Six and not Natasha Kaplinsky and it is therefore only allowed to be used on that article, it is however possible to add a fair use tag to this image to make it be able to be used on Natasha Kaplinsky. I have Extended the tag so it now covers Natasha Kaplinsky as well, Happy Editing.C. 22468 (talk) 19:26, 21 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Andrew marr show logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Andrew marr show logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:32, 6 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Source information needed for File:Dateline london title image.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Dateline london title image.jpg. However, the file description needs source information before it's okay to use on Wikipedia.

Please click here and do the following:

  1. Add a detailed description of who the original author is and where you got it. Please be specific, and include a link to the source if you can.
  2. Be sure to save the page.

If you follow these steps, your image can help enhance Wikipedia. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the media copyright questions page.

Thank you for your contribution! --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 12 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hold fire on your wikification efforts for a little while. I don't want you to have wasted your time. There's something that you definitely can help with. Uncle G (talk) 16:28, 21 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Ok, will do. I have only done a bit of the lead. Refferences are going to be a big problem in fixing this article as there are so many of them, but in their current form most are completely meaningless. I could see the 'edit problems' on the page, hence why I notified the biography page yesterday. However I will leave people experienced in dealing with this sort of thing to fix the original matters - and then I can help with the page content. Good luck! Content will be exactly what is desired. ☺ Uncle G (talk) 16:48, 21 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Andrew marr show logo.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Andrew marr show logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Re this edit

Thank you for taking an interest in this article. It appears you might have misunderstood; Emily and Jane alternate, Emily has no set day, which is why it has been changed to alternate. Any further queries, please comment here before changing. --Chip123456 15:55, 21 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for discussing this with me. This is an article I have done considerable work over a number of years. The rota has Emily on Mondays or Fridays - although I think at this stage it is unclear which. Alternate suggests they share them week about or day about, which isn't true - it is Jane's shift with Emily as number two. I am however happy to leave it as per your changes till we have a clear rota established over the next month or two which should hopefully clarify the situation. Uvghifds (talk) 16:20, 21 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
I think we should wait to see whether Emily has a firm pattern before changing back to Monday, as it seems she does a day whenever during the week. So, for the time being, we will keep as it is is. Thanks.--Chip123456 17:34, 22 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Anna Ford BBC One o'clock news.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Anna Ford BBC One o'clock news.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
